Darwin Waterfront: Dining, Swimming and the Harbour Precinct

The Darwin Waterfront Precinct on the southern edge of the CBD has been the city's most significant urban development in recent decades, transforming a former port site into a mix of restaurants, cafes, a wave pool and a protected swimming lagoon. The wave pool is popular with all ages and operates daily for a session fee, while the lagoon is free. The precinct's restaurants face the harbour and are popular for sunset dinners. The area is also the starting point for harbour cruises and some reef tours. It is a short walk or free shuttle ride from the Darwin CBD bus interchange.
