Frequently asked questions

Everything you might want to know about The Daily Darwin, our newsletter and how we report on Darwin.

What is The Daily Darwin?
The Daily Darwin is an independent, locally edited daily news publication for Darwin. We cover local government, business, sport, courts, weather, community events and the stories that matter to the people who live here.
Is the newsletter free?
Yes. Our morning briefing is free and arrives in your inbox every weekday. You can subscribe from the homepage or the /subscribe page and unsubscribe in one click any time.
How do you use AI in your journalism?
We use AI to help summarise public records, draft routine briefs and tidy copy. Every published article passes editorial review by a human editor before it goes live. Articles that rely materially on AI carry a clear AI-assisted label. Read our editorial standards for the full policy.
Where does your reporting come from?
We report from primary sources where possible: court lists, government releases, council agendas, ASX filings, BOM and the people directly involved in a story. Every story links to the public sources we used so you can check our work.
How do I send a news tip?
Confidential tips can be sent via our contact page or by email. We protect source confidentiality and never publish a tipster's identity without explicit consent.
How do I advertise or sponsor a newsletter?
Visit our /advertise page for our media kit and current rates, or contact the team directly. Sponsored content is always clearly labelled in line with ACCC guidance — see our sponsored content policy.
Do you publish corrections?
Yes. We correct errors promptly and transparently. A correction note is added to the foot of any article that has been materially changed after publication. You can flag a correction from the link at the bottom of every article.
Can I republish your articles?
Headlines, links and short excerpts may be shared freely with attribution to The Daily Darwin and a link back to the original article at https://dailydarwin.com.au. For full-text republication please contact us first.
